Most of my art conjures from the making of lists...things that inspire me at the moment, things I become interested in, things I notice and appreciate in my day to day life, and things that may come as an epiphany in my overthinking, world-building brain.
I thought I would begin to share these with you.
Mid-Summer 2023
The feeling of drifting...lightly floating through the heat and daydreams of long days
Bird song and long days
Hidden secret spaces...thick laden with moss and berries and heavy bough
Holy twilights...the magic of a summer golden hour
Setting suns
Flowers ablaze
Into the honeysuckle...there's something ethereal about this vine
Moths and butterflies
The witness of minutia...the teeming of life noticed going about its businesses in the most unassuming of locations...just plant yourself on a little rock amidst the moss, and you'll notice it as well!
Moments of beauty only seen by me...the witness of a particular bee collecting pollen, the way my oak trees sway in the breeze...a tiny life going about it's business in the warm sunshine
Secret lives lived under the protection of thick boughs
The dark tourmaline greens in a twilight rainstorm
What are your inspirations, how do you organize them, and what role do they play in the making of your own art? Feel free to share in the comments below!
