Thoughts on metal and stone

Ever present are dishes of stones... ethereal Moonstones and Labradorite, cabochons of Agates, Jaspers, and Quartz, stones, fossils, and crystals I have collected over a lifetime... some dug by my own hand...ever calling me to alchemize metal and stone into rustically hewn jewels infused with meaningful intention and secrets, with an aura and lore of days long past.

Here is where I am most quiet...most intent on the work at hand...focused on flame and the captivating amber glow of molten metal...most still with the intent to make a beautifully rustic piece of adornment for a kindred soul.

Archaena's jewelry is rustically refined...as if it could have been dredged from the earth, cleared of debris, and worn as sacred adornment, with the hand-worn refinement and subtlety suited for everyday wear.

Many of my jewels are talismans... ..small reminders with little accompanying stories or poems... to continually pause and step into quiet mindfulness. I can think of no greater adornment than the one that contains secret meanings and messages...
